At the start of the session we will go through the initial paperwork, this includes your contact and card details. We will then discuss and sign the consent and confidentially form.
We will continue the session discussing the concerns that brought you to seek support. We will discuss relevant background history such as your childhood, school/work life and relationships, involvement in past mental health support and current coping strategies. Once this information is gathered we will develop some goals for therapy and time permitting begin discussing basic coping strategies and some activities to try until the next session.

No, a referral is not required to see a psychologist unless you want a rebated session.

If you have a referral and Mental health treatment plan they will need to be brought to the first session along with your Medicare card details. You will need to bring payment information (e.g. credit/debit card details) and your emergency contact details. You can bring a support person if that makes you feel more comfortable.

You can make an appointment with your GP to determine if you are eligible for a Mental health treatment plan (MHTP). To receive a rebate you will need a MHTP and referral from your GP. This will entitle you to a rebate of $89.95 per session for a maximum of ten sessions per calendar year. You will be required to pay the full fee at the time of your consultation and the rebate will be processed and credited into the bank account that you have linked with Medicare.

No, unfortunately we do not currently have the capacity to offer couples counselling at this time.

$170 for private and Mental health treatment plan (MHTP) 50 minute sessions. Medicare will rebate $80.05 with a eligible referral and MHTP. (Fees are reviewed at the start of each year)
Fees for NDIS, Work Cover and Victim Services are determined by the scheme.
